CoDES OF CONDUCT
COACH CODE OF CONDUCT
As the Head or Assistant Coach of an AFC team, I will:
- Coach the team to the best of my ability.
- Be encouraging and supportive to my players and their families.
- Communicate all necessary information to my players in a timely fashion.
- Carry out all tasks upon request when requested by AFC.
- Work with my team parents to distribute all the necessary jobs associated with running a team.
- Volunteer my services and talents to AFC whenever possible.
- Familiarize myself with the laws of the game, and if possible take the referee course and referee games when available.
- Respect officials and accept their decisions.
- Support and comply with the rules, policies and procedure of AFC as they apply to me.
- Continue with my coach education.
- Wear my adidas apparel tall AFC soccer related activities.
- Use adidas equipment where possible, especially soccer balls for training and matches.
- Check and reply to emails and other communication in a timely manner.
As the Head Coach of AFC team, I will not:
- Engage in dissent directed toward an official.
- Engage in any kind or type of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, manager, player or parent.
- Discuss issues about the team or individual players in front of any of the players, unless deemed necessary.
- Use drugs or alcohol at any AFC practice or game.
- Act in any manner that is detrimental to the team or AFC.
- Leave any child alone at the field or leave before they have been safely collected.
I understand that failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary action against including but not limited to suspension or revocation of coaching privileges with the AFC program.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
As an AFC player, I will:
- Train and play to the best of my ability.
- Have a positive attitude and never quit.
- Win without boasting and exemplify sportsmanship.
- Respect officials and accept their decisions without question.
- Respect my coach, trainer, teammates and opponents.
- Give positive encouragement to my fellow teammates.
- Arrive prepared for all games and training sessions (i.e. correct mental attitude and equipment).
- Learn and obey the rules of the game, the team and AFC.
- Practice soccer skills and maintain my physical condition on my own.
- Notify the coach or team manager in advance, if I will be tardy for or unable to make a practice and/or game.
As an AFC player, I will never:
- Allow my enthusiasm and commitment for soccer to override my responsibilities to improve my education.
- Use profane or vulgar language.
- Leave the field or session without the permission of the coach.
- Disregard any instruction of my coach or trainer.
- Forget that I represent AFC, both on and off the field.
I understand failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary action or sanctions by AFC.
PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
As the parent of an AFC player, I will:
- Be encouraging, supportive and affirmative in regard to my child’s play on the field.
- Respect officials and accept their decisions.
- Support the coach, manager and the team.
- Volunteer my services and talents to AFC whenever possible.
- Familiarize myself with the laws of the game.
- Comply with the rules, policies and procedure of the team and AFC as they apply to me.
- Discuss issues concerning my child:
- only with the coach,
- not with the team manager or any other parent,
- only at a time mutually agreed upon with the coach,
- not immediately prior to, during or directly after a game.
As the parent of an AFC player, I will not:
- Engage in dissent directed toward an official.
- Engage in any kind or type of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, manager, player or parent.
- Discuss issues about the team or individual players in front of my child, unless deemed necessary.
- Use drugs or alcohol at any AFC practice or game.
- Interfere at any time with the duties and responsibilities of the coach or manager.
- Act in any manner, which is detrimental to the team or AFC.
- Coach my child from the sideline.
I fully understand both the time and financial commitment required from both my child and myself to play on this team. I will notify the coach of all occasions that my child will not be able to attend any team activity, training session and or game as soon as I am aware.
I will make every effort to get my child tall activities as well as collect my child at the time specified by the coach. If I am unable to do so I will inform the coach of the delay.
I understand failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary action or sanctions by AFC. If my training fees are not current I also understand that my child will not be able to train and play.
Team Manager/Treasurer

Used to manage your own team. PSC provides access tit. You can monitor player attendance, schedule, refreshments, payments and anything else a team needs.
- Team Manager Suggested Expectations
- Send weekly email with practice times, game times, and potentially carpool duties
- Handle all game day paperwork (binder, medical releases, player cards) and manage check-in procedures with game referee.
- Oversee submission of registration information to PSC Registrar
- Oversee other team volunteers
- Manages Teamsnap (www.teamsnap.com).
- Other Team Volunteers
- Uniform Coordinator – responsible for managing uniform order
- Tournament Coordinator – responsible for registering for tournaments
- Carpool Coordinator – if practices are outside of Piedmont
- Publicity – responsible for submitting short game summaries to Piedmont Post.
