09 Boys 1 team took 2nd place at the Sacramento United Capitol Cup

Congratulations to our AFC 09 Boys 1 team and Coach Ray Head whom this weekend took 2nd place at the Sacramento United Capitol Cup. The team faced off against high level opposition in their first ever tournament together as a team!

The boys started the weekend with a 4-1 victory over hosts Sacramento United before beating a strong Napa United Academy 2-1, before a 0-0 tie with North Coast Petaluma took them to the Championship game.

In a fiercely contested Final, the boys were eventually defeated 3-1 by a strong San Francisco Elite Academy team, after initially leading 1-0.

A great weekend for the boys and a strong start to their AFC journey together as a new team!

2008 Girls AFC 1 team won the San Ramon Soccerfest

Congratulations to our AFC 2008 Girls AFC 1 team and Coach Gabe Morfin whom this weekend won the San Ramon Soccerfest!

The girls started off the competition with a 4-0 win over Livermore Fusion Soccer Club, followed by a narrow 2-1 defeat to Mill Valley. On Sunday morning a 1-0 win over Alameda Islanders took the girls to the Championship game to again take on Mill Valley, where this time around the girls ran out 2-0 winners!

A great weekend for the girls as they not only took home 1st place but scored 8 goals and conceded just 2 along the way!
